Kirsten Simone Vangsness, an American actress and playwright who came into the limelight by playing "Penelope Garcia" in the cop-driven crime drama TV series 'Criminal Minds'. Kirsten Simone Vangsness was also a part in the spinoffs "Criminal Minds Beyond Borders' and Criminal Minds: Speculative Behavior. Though she's mostly acting on TV shows however, she has had small parts in films since making her debut in the show business in 1998. Her roles have been notable in films such as "In My Sleep, "The Chicago 8", and 'Kill Me Deadly.' She's written in The Los Angeles Times and co-wrote episodes of "Criminal Minds". She's a huge animal lover and especially cats. She is often able to rescue and help rehabilitate animals that are injured or abandoned.
